TISTA has been awarded a prime contract for IT application and development by the Office of AIDS Research (OAR). OAR coordinates scientific, budgetary, legislative, and policy issues for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) AIDS research program. The office serves as NIH’s principal liaison with the Department of Health and Human Services, across other federal agencies, and with domestic and international governmental and non-governmental organizations. Each year, the OAR oversees the Congressionally-mandated development of the NIH AIDS-related research plan and budget, selecting areas of research based on the most compelling scientific priorities, and leading development of new tools in the global fight against HIV/AIDS. TISTA’s role is to provide IT services in support of this critical mission.
