TISTA to support CMS data infrastructure

Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) are joint federal/state health insurance programs that cover an estimated 74 million people at an annual cost exceeding $355 billion for 2016. Data for these programs is collected across states from multiple programs. TISTA has been awarded a prime contract to develop a Data Warehouse solution that will support analysis of healthcare delivery nationwide through the Medicaid and CHIP programs. TISTA has been tasked to design an enterprise level integration process that takes large disparate data sources – operational, program, pharmacy, and financial data – and integrates them into a system that allows government managers to assess the effectiveness of healthcare services. The Data Warehouse solution is a critical enabler for CMS to continue to oversee and implement Medicaid and CHIP programs successfully.
